Tbh never really noticed it but its kinda terrifying how much Byleth balances each of them out between 3 hopes and houses. Its been said many times now that claude is a schemer,but it wasnt until three hopes when we saw the depths,and 3 houses explains how Byleth acted as the balance to it. Then in the blue lions route,dimitri was inconsolable,not even his best friends being able to help,and it took byleth to get through to him. And lastly,i think you can probably guess,Byleth acts as both a foil to both rhea and edelgard,balancing them out i differing capacitys. Really goes to show that without byleth,or shez or something similar? Fodlan was royally screwed.
